“Michael Jackson 1999 Bridge Accident” By Ivan Urbina

In 1999, Michael Jackson made two concerts to raise money for those in need of food, water and shelter. These concerts took place in Seoul, Korea on June 25, 1999 and in Munich, Germany on June 27, 1999. MJ performed these songs, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “Black Or White”, “Billie Jean”, “Dangerous”, and “Earth Song”. In one part of the Earth Song performance, Michael would have to go up a bridge and would dance in the highest part of the bridge and explosions would occur on the sides of the bridge and the part where Michael was standing would levitate and stay there for a few minutes and would come back down and connect with the sides of the bridge and would go back on the stage but in Munich, Michael could have died.

In the Earth Song performance, Michael went up the bridge and did his thing. If you were to compare the Earth Song performance from Korea, you would notice more explosions on the sides of the bridge in the Munich performance than those in Korea. In Munich, the bridge levitated as planned but after a few seconds, a string that was holding the levitating part of the bridge snapped and the bridge went crashing down from 100-130 feet in the air! Michael somehow managed to survive that tremendous fall and continued the performance until the end of the song. Luckily, this was the last song on the set list. Because of this, Michael suffered a broken back.

  1. This article was clear of its main idea. Thank god Michael survived the fall. This article was the best I read yet. You have room of improvement. Michael Jackson is a great singer of all time.
